2.5 Stars This books has such a bright cheerful cover- IT'S A LIE!!!I really enjoyed the first book in this series. It's the kind of book you pick up when you want a light, funny and romantic read. Unfortunately this second book really disappointed. Will and Alona's romance is basically non existent. And all the humor has been sucked out of the book by the two main characters selfish behavior. Sure Alona has always been a bit of a bitch but in a humorous and endearing way. And I understand her "life" has gotten even harder. Her mother is moving on, throwing away all of her possessions and basically erasing her and her father and step-mother are having a "replacement baby" but this does not make up for the terrible thing she does. She possess the body of a poor girl in a vegetative state and makes her family think she has come back to life. That is just cruel and morbid! And Will is really no better. In the previous book he was the lovable underdog with the strange ability to talk to ghost. But in this installment he is all too willing to drop Alona and his belief system as soon as he meets some one with the same talent as him. He just came across as disloyal and naive. What I dislike most about this book was that it took characters that made me laugh and that I was looking forward to revisiting and made them into something unlikable.
