4.5 StarsI thought this was going to be “twilightly” before I started reading it and at first I was concerned. But just when the “dark and dangerous” hero warns the meek and smitten heroine that he is indeed “dark and dangerous” and she should stay away from him. Our bookish leading lady cracks a joke something along the lines of “you’re not a sparkling vampire are you?” And it’s all good from then on. In fact it’s great! Gwen Hayes has taken all the great element of young adult novels today and turned them on their heads, coming up with something completely new. Like turning a beer bottle into a wine glass. Pretty cool right!
